The Long War Doubles Tournament

RULES
Team Organization:
Each team is considered one army on the table top.

Army Composition:
Each Team is comprised of 2 separate 1000 point “Battle Forged” Armies.

These armies must follow all rules and guidelines for legal army construction.

All 40k army lists, detachments, formations, and supplements are legal. Furthermore this is a “No Preservatives Added” event, so if you have any questions on what book, unit, formation, etc. are allowed the answer is “YES” as long as it is a “7th Edition 40k” rules set and is the most recent/current and legal rules available (see Adepticon’s appendices for the definite up to date versions of units)

That means you can play with Forge World units as long as they are “40k Approved”, and current Forge World Army lists, as long as they are made for 7th Edition “Battle Forged” play.

Horus Heresy rules can not be used, but feel free to use the miniatures as appropriate ”bringing hobby back” counts as models!

SCORING
This event is a #bringinghobbyback event. Which means we are bringing hobby scores back to Warhammer 40k.
Your battles points are only worth 50% of your overall score.

The rest of your points will come from sportsmanship, composition/theme, and painting.
For Your Sportsmanship you will be judged by your opponents on how well you upheld the social contract of table-top gaming with them on a favorite, average, and below average scale.

The Composition/theme and painting scoring rubrics will be posted soon for your perusal, and will be judged impartially by event staff Kenny Boucher, and Rob Baer.
Rest assured there will be no chipmunking of scores here playas, every team with get as much of a score as they put into the event, and their armies!

Missions, rubrics, and score cards will be published before the event (most likely after the holidays). Listen to “The Long War” podcast on iTunes for more information.
