BIG things look to be coming from Games Workshop! Come see the New GW CEO’s letter that outlines what’s happening with Specialist games, and another brand new branch of the company!

A letter that looks to be from the Games Workshop CEO was spotted on a bulletin board recently, that seems to outline some of the changes we’ve been seeing from the company over the last few weeks….

Between the Tau release, and the upcoming Horus Heresy hybrid product launch, Games Workshop seems to be hitting all the right marks going into their mid-year earnings report.

Now we have even more to look forward to with the return of Specialist Games, and the new Global Business Development head and the creation of a new studio inside of this new umbrella.

While it doesn’t come right out and say it, this appears to be the place where all the development and planning for “splash” releases like Kauyon type supplements, and even Horus Heresy type boxed set launches will happen.

Games Workshop seems to be setting themselves up to be able to react to changes in market forecasting, as well as the quarterly fifinanciall needs of the company, without having the traditionally “excessive” lead times for new products. Remember this huge explosion of releases we saw this year, was only possible because of a slow down in the release schedule itself early summer 2013.

Now it’s entirely possible with the creation of this “mini” studio, that will  GW be able to keep cranking out weekly release after weekly release. The possibilities are about as endless as the grim dark itself,  and I personally wouldn’t be surprised if they attempt a fix to the Age of Sigmar after their fiscal year is up in June 2016.

Whatever happens the new CEO looks to be making some great moves as of late. Here’s looking to the future of the company, AND our hobby!

Interesting Times Indeed!
